K–8 Curriculum Developer We are seeking a K–8 Curriculum Developer to assist the Curriculum Division in increasing the Company’s sales by developing new, high-quality products and improving existing products for teacher and student use in the classroom. Duties include:
Planning, implementing, and carrying out the annual development schedule and goals of the Curriculum Division
Assisting curriculum product managers in their development of programs by providing advice, technical support, editing, design, field-testing, writing, and other needed resources
Searching for educator-developed products outside the Company
Collaborating with marketing and production departments for product ideas, development, and needs
Keeping abreast of trends and changes in science education, standards, and courses of study
Assisting the Curriculum Division Director in developing an annual budget
Requirements include a bachelor's degree, computer proficiency, the ability to occasionally travel overnight to attend conferences and workshops, and the ability to effectively demonstrate and discuss various product lines with customers in a conference or workshop setting. A science or education background is helpful.

Regional Curriculum Sales Manager—Alabama We seek an experienced salesperson to increase revenue by building effective relationships with current and prospective customers in Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Oklahoma. The ideal candidate will be located in Alabama near Birmingham, Huntsville, Mobile, or Montgomery.
Sales Managers call on current and prospective customers throughout their assigned regions, identifying state and local adoption opportunities for the Company’s hands-on science curriculums, Science and Technology for Children® (STC®) and Science and Technology Concepts for Middle Schools™ (STC/MS™), developed specifically for students in kindergarten through 8th grade.
The successful candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively. He/she also must be a team player who can effectively communicate and work with the Company’s sales staff, product managers, and outside curriculum consultants to identify and seek adoption opportunities.
Frequent overnight travel (approximately 75%) is required.
To qualify, you must have:
A bachelor’s degree in education (preferably science or math) or business/marketing
A valid driver’s license
Strong general business, analytical, presentation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
A proven track record in outside sales with demonstrated success in developing new accounts
2–3 years' experience in publishing sales; experience in educational sales is preferred
