Carolina is pleased to offer sales tax exemption on online orders for qualified customers! To receive tax exemption status online:
Assure your institution's tax exemption certificate is on file with us. We only require one certificate per institution, so if you are affiliated with a current exempt customer, Customer Service can attach the certificate on file to your account. If so, skip to "Enable your Carolina Online Account" below.
If you do not have a certificate, select your state in the box below and a PDF will open in a new window. If you can't find your state's form, download our multi-state form.
On the certificate, reference your account number, and fax it to 336.538.6326 or mail it to the address below. Important: Please allow 1 business day for us to complete the tax exemption administration. If you are ready to place your online order now, please do so, and contact us afterwards so we can remove the tax.

Enable your Carolina Online Account for tax exemption.
Call Customer Service at 800.334.5551 (8am to 8pm, ET, Mon-Fri) and our representative will request a few pieces of information to update (or create) your Carolina Online Account.
If this is a brand new Carolina Online Account, you will receive your password via email. Once received, click on My Account at the top of the Web site and log in using your email address and password.
During Checkout, "Tax Exempt" will appear before your order total and tax will be $0.00.
Please note that once your Carolina Online Account is enabled for tax exemption, you will not be able to edit or add shipping or billing addresses using our Web site. But don't worry - you can edit or add addresses at any time by calling Customer Service at 800.334.5551 (8am to 8pm, ET, Mon-Fri).
